Musk states that he is “not opposed to determining” whether the child is his. St. Clair claims that he “declined” to undergo a paternity test.
The paternity situation involving Elon Musk continues to unfold.
In a recent post on X, the co-leader of the newly established “Department of Government Efficiency” mentioned that he has contributed millions to MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair for the care of the child she asserts is his son.
The discussion was initiated by a post featuring a video of St. Clair, in which she expressed that she was selling her Tesla to compensate for a $100,000 reduction in child support payments from Musk. Musk responded, stating, “I am uncertain if the child is mine, but I am open to finding out. A court order is unnecessary. Even without confirmation, I have provided Ashley with $2.5 million and am sending her $500,000 annually.”
St. Clair has filed a petition with the Supreme Court of New York seeking sole legal custody of the infant son she claims to share with Musk.
According to court documents obtained by TODAY.com, St. Clair asserted: “I am, and have always been, the sole parent and caregiver that R.S.C. has known.” (R.S.C. are the initials of her infant son.) She noted that Musk has only met the child three times since his birth in September 2024. In response to Musk’s message on March 31 on X, St. Clair wrote: “Elon, we requested that you confirm paternity through a test before our child (whom you named) was even born. You declined.
“And the funds you provided were not for me; they were support for your child, which you deemed necessary until you retracted most of it to exert control and punish me for ‘disobedience.’ Ultimately, you are only punishing your son.”
She concluded with, “America needs you to mature, you immature man-child.”
Musk has 13 other children with three different women, including six with his ex-wife Justine Wilson. Their first child, a son named Nevada, passed away in infancy. Musk later had three children with musician Grimes, whose legal name is Claire Elise Boucher, and currently has four children with tech executive Shivon Zilis. One week following St. Clair’s assertion that Musk was the father of her son, he celebrated the arrival of his son, Seldon Lycurgus, with Zilis.
